Welcome to South Georgia Softball.  The home for the best girls fastpitch softball tournaments in the Southeastern Part of Georgia.  All South GA Softball tournaments are run in conjunction with and sanctioned by Georgia ASA.

• All tournaments are promoted by Ty Rietkovich.  To enter into any of the events listed on the "tournament" page, go to the registration page of this web site and submit an entry form or e-mail Ty at sgasasoftball@aol.com To see the list of all tournaments and who is playing in each event, go to the "Tournaments" page by hitting the link on the left.
• South Georgia Softball is the host for the biggest tournament in SE Georgia, THE QUEEN OF DIAMONDS SOUTHERN SHOOTOUT.  Each year this event attracts some of the best teams in girls fastpitch softball and fill up fast.  
• South Georgia Softball is also the host for the best showcase events in the South. For more information, go to www.SouthernStarSoftball.com.
• For information about the GA ASA Tournaments, go to the ASA Information page at www.georgiaasa.com  .
• To register for a South GA Softball event - go to the "Request and Entry" page and fill in the needed information.  PLEASE do not call me to enter a tournament if it is at all possible. 
• To e-mail Ty - sgasasoftball@aol.com I have a blackberry, so eventually (service is not always perfect in South GA) I get all e-mails directly on my phone.  Written records are best, so e-mail first, call second.

ASA RULES TO REMEMBER

• Pitching distances - 10 and under will pitch from 35', 12u & 14u will pitch from 40', 16u and 18u will pitch from 43'.
• Every batter must have an approved helmet with a facemask and a chin strap.
• Each coach needs to make themselves familiar with the ASA rules for legal number of players batting and in a line-up.
• For these ASA Invitational's, roster's can be provided by the team and for information purposes only.  Your roster is not frozen or official until you play in a National Qualifier and your roster in red-lined by a state ASA JO official.
• Teams planning to move on to any of the ASA National Events must register their team and players through the Georgia ASA Site.
• Teams not planning to move on to any of the ASA National Events can register their team for $30 at any of these ASA sanctioned events.
